Um ideas
You could continue the green stuff coming from her eyes, radiating in all kinds of crazy directions
kind of like this:

the blue arrows are just to give you an idea how the stuff would go. and there would all kinds of crazy overlapping
and then you could give it flowy hair that's like a red/blonde color to contrast with the green.

That's just what occurred to me when I saw this.

Very cool. It reminds me of Wind Waker somehow. I think it's the smoke. I really like Mariel's suggestion. Also, it looks like someone hiding in bamboo or some similar plant, so you could expand on that too. Them eyes are watching me! :O

It's probably the colors that remind everyone of Zelda. It reminds me of Indian and Tibetan art.
